A Health Risk Assessment (HRA) has many different definitions.
At Healthcare RM we have two basic types of HRA:
OHRA is based on Fitness to Work either following an illness or injury or whilst an injury or illness is present.
OHRA can be used to support an employee who has been ill or injured to remain at work or following absence where recovery is sufficient to commence a phased return to work. As part of this reintegration process we consider ability to work in normal duties or in modified duties.
In the majority of cases our aim is to return a person to their normal work as soon as possible, usually within 6 weeks of their return to work date. We provide a written RTW Plan as agreed with the Line Manager in advance, which takes individual health risks into account alongside the occupational specific risks. We can advise on variances to the plan, if necessary, as we remain involved in the case until a successful outcome has been achieved.
Where the employee’s condition is considered to meet the definitions of the Disability Discrimination Act this process is a vital part of compliance with the Act.

In addition we can also perform an OHRA for potential occupational health diseases including:
PHRA reviews personal lifestyle health risks and we can provide individuals with a Health Improvement Programme based on this.
PHRA also includes consideration of any work-related issues in order to ensure a holistic and realistic assessment
