HRM install New Anti SPAM Software

HRM update their Anti SPAM and Browsing Software from 1st November 2007. As the menace of SPAM increases HRM have invested in new anti SPAM software to reduce the unwanted traffic we are all faced with every day.

This of course comes at a cost but ties in with the HRM philosophy of risk prevention. In three days 9600 e-mails were received 96% of which were SPAM and filtered out.

At the same time HRM has installed web browsing software which prevents access to unreliable, unacceptable and adult sites. Companies are I am sure aware that if they have a policy of permitting internet access for employees use then they should also ensure that employees are only permitted to access acceptable sites.

Fraudulent E-Mails Hit Again

Yet again individuals and Companies will receive e-mails purporting to be from the Big Four High Street Banks. This includes Barclays and Natwest.

These e-mails are not from the banks so should be deleted without being opened. Criminals get more and more sophisticated in their fraudulent efforts to steal our money and the pages they take you to will mirror the official Bank pages, so remember ignore these mails for your own security.

Healthcare RM host Seminar for Dutch Insurers

Healthcare RM have been asked to host a seminar for Dutch Insurance companies to help in the understanding of Employee Health Risk Management.  The specific topics on the agenda will include how an integrated approach to the management of employee health risks has helped three major UK organisations.  How British Insurance Companies have developed preferred provider networks.  Why the British Insurance Market is now also developing an integrated approach to managing employee health.  How self-funding has helped many organisations to tailor benefits to their needs, whilst also reducing the cost of ill health to their business.

Healthcare RM will then outline the latest evidence based outcomes in the field of multidisciplinary rehabilitation and outline how the physical and psychological obstacles to recovery may be addressed.  The early identification of COPD will also be on the agenda and finally Healthcare RM will describe the work with Wellness Technology which enables HRM to deliver not only a tool which can predict ill health risks based on behavioural and lifestyle factors but also how such risks may then be managed.

The Seminar will be held near the NEC and Birmingham Airport and will include speakers from Coors Brewers, Intercontinental Hotel Group, BUPA, Wellness Technology and the Met Office.

For any further information please contact Pamela Gellatly via e-mail or 0n 0871 200 5060.
