FROG

Introduction

Healthcare RM is an independent company who manage all aspects of employee health for a wide range of clients.
As part of our integrated Case Management service, we have developed multidisciplinary evidence based rehabilitation programmes to assist people to manage their chronic pain problems and regain function, following an episode of musculoskeletal pain.  We have termed these programmes FROG as they offer Functional Rehabilitation for Optimal Gain.

It is now well recognised that the assessment and treatment of chronic pain problems can be improved by an multidisciplinary approach which addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of pain. 

Functional rehabilitation programmes have delivered the following benefits:

• An 80% success rate in returning employees to work who were absent due to chronic low back pain
• As effective as spinal surgery in dealing with chronic low back pain
• The most effective treatment for persistent back pain by the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA)
• More effective than single-discipline treatments for chronic pain in general

Reduction in the number of lost working days when compared to other treatments
